How Do I Know If I Need a Online German teacher?
What is Business german?
Whether in meetings, calls or at conferences – communicating competently at work is often a special challenge for language learners. In conversation with customers and colleagues you need knowledge that goes beyond the everyday language. Together, we will examine your specific needs in a free preliminary talk, which I will then implement in an individual learning plan. Step by step, you will learn which language skills are required, learn the right pronounciation and also cultural subtleties. Business German not only helps your career, but is also good for your self-confidence.
What does the lesson look like?
Online lessons offer many possibilities. On the one hand less time is spent on the road, on the other hand you also gain a high degree of flexibility. Lessons take place via Skype or Zoom. I still work with other tools that I may introduce to you during the lesson. A big advantage of my offer is strong individual attention. You only learn what you really need and that is what is tailored to your professional challenges. I will get involved in your professional vocabulary and together we train your language skills intensively, efficiently and sustainably.
Which technical equipment do I need for online tutoring?
You only need a pc or laptop with microphone and a camera. I work with Zoom and Skype. You may need to download one of these programs. This is free for you, as I will cover the costs of Zoom.
How much time do I have to invest?
That depends on the individual. After a free preliminary talk, I accept students if they want to work with me for at least four hours a month. In addition, you can also book for more hours or even do intensive courses with me. The more time you can spend on training outside of our lesson, the faster you will achieve success. It would be good if you plan at least two hours a week for homework and reading.
How much is the lesson?
For every 60 minutes of one-to-one online lessons I charge 120 € (plus taxes). The preparation and follow-up of the lesson (which lasts about 30 minutes) is already included in the price. The costs for group courses and company courses are negotiable based on your requirements.
Which language level do I need?
If you are just starting to learn German, you probably wouldn’t start with Business German. It would be more productive for you if you started working with me after you have attained B1 level German. This means that you have already mastered the German used in everyday life to a certain extent, can have small talk and follow conversations, when you are spoken to slowly and clearly. If you can speak less German and still want to work with me, feel free to contact me and we can discuss the possibilities together.
Do you also teach in person and can I also book you for company courses?
I live in Berlin and can give lessons in person here. You can ask me for company courses, as well as for lessons for small groups. By arrangement, under certain conditions, lessons outside of Berlin are possible.
